Live Event

Looking to add a personalized, luxurious touch to your event? I offer a variety of custom calligraphy options to suit different surfaces and aesthetics:

  • Written/Painted Calligraphy – Ideal for paper, acrylic ornaments, champagne bottles, plastic, and leather.

  • Hot Foil Calligraphy – Best suited for paper packaging, ribbons, vegan leather, and certain leather types.

  • Engraved Calligraphy – A beautiful option for spirit and liquor bottles, drinkware, glassware, and cosmetic items (including plastics and wood).

To ensure the best results, I always recommend that clients and event planners send sample materials in advance whenever possible. This helps us determine the most suitable technique and guarantees a lasting, high-quality finish your guests will remember.

    3. Booking Confirmation
    To reserve your date, a signed service contract and full payment are required. Without both, your date cannot be guaranteed.

    4. Design & Prep
    We’ll finalize wording, details, timelines, and logistics to ensure everything is ready for your event day.

    5. Event Day
    I’ll arrive early for on-site calligraphy/engraving.

  • A minimum booking of 4 hours is required for all live events.
    Please note that during peak periods and the holiday season, services are offered at a flat rate rather than an hourly rate.

    • Live on-site events require a minimum booking of 4 hours.
      Final event duration may vary depending on the scope, guest count, and level of customization required.

    • On-site services must be booked at least 21 days in advance.

    • Accepted payments: Cash, e-transfer, cheque, Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF), PayPal (processing fee applies), and credit card (processing fee applies).

  • Personalized Hand Engraving Service

    Transform your gifts into timeless keepsakes with our professional hand engraving. To book our service, simply fill out our form or email us at hello@calligrafeabykaren.net with the following details:

    • Item details – What you’d like engraved

    • Text or design – Your chosen words or graphics

    • Deadline – When you need it completed

    • Inspiration – Any reference images or ideas

    Once we receive your request, we’ll provide a quote and estimated turnaround time before arranging item drop-off.

    Drop-Off Instructions

    After confirming the cost and timeline, you can drop off your item at our Mississauga, Ontario studio in person or via courier.

    Design Process

    Once we receive your item, we’ll create a mock-up within 48-72 hours and send it to you for approval via text or email.

    Each order includes two complimentary revisions, with additional edits available for a fee.

    Engraving & Finishing

    After final approval:

    • Your item will be carefully hand-engraved.

    • Most items include a metallic wax paint fill to enhance the design. (Note: Paint fill is not applied to glassware used for food to ensure safety.)

  • Duration of the engraving depends on the amount of bottles. You have the option to delivery/ship the items to my studio but client is responsible to shipping and delivery fee. We can discuss more.

  • Pricing starts at $50 per bottle.
    Additional fees may apply under the following conditions:

    • Rush Fee: Applies to orders requested with less than 5 business days’ notice.

    • Bulk Engraving Fee: Applies to orders of 4 bottles or more due to the extended preparation and production time required.
