KOTN Ossington Event
A Seamless Brand Activation
KOTN’s Ossington space provided the perfect backdrop—clean, warm, and thoughtfully designed. The customization station blended effortlessly into the store, maintaining brand consistency while offering something extra for customers visiting during the event.
Throughout the two days, the response was incredibly positive. Guests appreciated the opportunity to personalize gifts on the spot, and many shared how the added detail made their purchase feel more special and considered. It was a great example of how live customization can enhance the retail experience without overwhelming it.
Why Live Customization Works
Events like this highlight why brands continue to invest in experiential marketing:
It creates a personal connection between customer and product
It encourages longer in-store dwell time
It elevates gifting and increases perceived value
It provides organic, shareable moments for social media
For KOTN, the customized sock sleeves and gift tags aligned perfectly with their values—simple, intentional, and meaningful.
A Two-Day Customization Experience with KOTN at Ossington, Toronto
There’s something special about seeing thoughtful design come to life in real time—and that’s exactly what happened during KOTN’s two-day in-store event at their Ossington location in Toronto.
Over the course of two full days, I had the pleasure of partnering with KOTN to create customized sock sleeves and gift tags, adding a personal, handcrafted touch to an already beautifully curated retail experience. The activation was designed to elevate gifting while staying true to KOTN’s minimalist, ethical, and design-forward brand identity.
Thoughtful Details That Make a Difference
Customization has a way of slowing people down—in the best way. As customers browsed the store, they were invited to personalize their purchases with hand-lettered sock sleeves and custom gift tags, transforming everyday essentials into meaningful, one-of-a-kind gifts.
Whether it was a name, a short message, or a subtle detail, each piece was created live on-site, allowing customers to connect not only with the product, but with the process behind it. These small, intentional details became conversation starters, photo moments, and ultimately, memorable takeaways.
